The formula contains Clucosamine sulphate, Chondroitin sulphate, Vitamin C and the omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA. Glucosamine is necessary for the cartilage cells of the body as a component for continued renewal of cartilage. Chondroitin is one of the most available building blocks for joint cartilage and is believed to act as a blocking agent for catalysts that break down cartilage. Both Glucosamine and Chondroitin reduce inflammation and are believed to counteract osteoarthritis. Vitamin C is necessary for the formation of Collagen, one of the main building components of the body. The omega-3 fatty acid capsule contains no less than 30% of essential fatty acids, mainly EPA and DHA. Rheumatoid arthritis research indicates that by using Omega-3 fatty acids regularly, symptoms such as morning stiffness, pain and tiredness can be greatly reduced. The omega-3 capsule does not contain vitamins A or D and can therefore be safely taken with cod liver oil supplements containing these vitamins.
