Although, fish and fish products constitute more than 70% of Iceland’s exports, it was not until the late 90's those Icelandic producers started looking into the pet food industry. By now there are over a dozen producers of pet food in Iceland and by using the knowledge obtained by the fish industry; producers quickly established themselves as being quality pet food producers.
